At the jacks in Fayette now putting down a couple biscuits and making sure I get everything out of my system and then headed to our lease in Lamar. Weather looks great today and I’m hoping they will be moving. Good luck to everyone today!

Set up back on the power line in Jefferson county... it should be right here by now... fingers crossed it’s a good morning, not but a couple times left for me to hunt this season.

Season ends tomorrow up here, so probably my last sit of the season. I’m in some hardwoods with some thick underbrush near some fresh scrapes and rubs I found yesterday. Second rut should be kicking in so maybe I’ll get lucky. Heck, I’ll probably bust a doe if one walks by.

Doesn’t look fully mature but I’m more than happy with him. Had a young doe ease through just as the sun was peeking up. I watched her feed through to my left and when she eased out of my sight into a cedar thicket I scanned back to my right and he was following exactly where she’d come. 308 did it’s job. Bang flop. Thank you God. What a gift.
