I despise people who carry on a conversation in public without trying to be quite about it or carry it outside. leroycnbucks I wouldn't have waited on somebody else to chime in if I was in your place. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man now but manners seem to be a lost art in this society now.

we have 3 kids in our office, 25-27 years old. They have no clue as to manners such as the above, not eating correctly in front of guests or events etc. I listened to one guy tell someone on the phone to shut up and he'd call them back.....it was his Mom! We hired some firm to come in and teach a class because my HR department told me it could be considered harrassment if I yelled at them for being idots.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

People are 10 times more inconsiderate now and days. That's because it's getting harder and harder to throat punch an asshole and then have to worry about getting sued. Amen...

Text them back that you are busy and will call them back. If it's important, take the call outside.

The Southern Linc phones beeping at lunch 15 years ago were just as bad. The Nextel pranks were the best though! Beep a friend and just start screaming.

I’ve got no patience for it and have twice now interjected. The first time, I just joined the conversation and when the person physically there asked what I was doing, I told him he obviously felt the phone call should be public so I joined in. The second time, I was at Lowe’s in the bathroom taking care of some “paperwork”. The guy in the stall next to me answered a call on speaker phone. I just started making really loud straining noises.  In both situations, the people ended the call pretty quick.

I’ve had them do that to me in the clinic, we have a big sign on the way in to turn off cell phones and never fails I’ll have 1-2 every day that when I go in to see them have that phone glued to their ear. I’ve even had several that hold their finger up to me telling me to wait. At that point I just move on to the next patient and they go to the end of the line.
Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.

that dont bother me as much as the people that get in line with you at the store with those stupid things in their ear I've started talking back to them sometimes then realize there on a phone call.if someone on speakerphone bothers you wait until you run into a Democrat playing jungle music on the speaker phone at full volume instead of wearing a headset walking around the grocery store.
