Is it really any different for them to be talking on the phone to someone verses talking to somebody with them? Though it does seem funny/strange to me when they are carrying on a conversation while in the bathroom stall.


Yes, it's rude and shows a lack of manners and upbringing. Text them back that you are busy and will call them back. If it's important, take the call outside.
