Having lunch alone today so I sat at the bar at a steakhouse in Alabaster. As usual I sat as far away from the other 2 patrons as possible and the guy to my left is 5 seats away. He decides to take a call on his cell, ok could be important work call, not everyone is off today. He then clicks the phone on speaker and talks to his lady friend for my entire meal. I’m wondering what is wrong with the guy, then he orderes an angry orchard to go with his porterhouse. I think this guy was very rude. Am I too far out of touch with today’s society? Is this ok? It has become more prevalent. When I take a call, if it’s inportant business I will excuse myself and step outside. Sorry rant over.

If someone insists on being rude there is no reason you can't politely ask them to stop. I've asked a smoker to stop blowing smoke on my wife. Then gave him a second chance by letting his wife know what I was gonna do If it happened a third time. She promptly stopped it.

People suck. Most of them anyway.

That's because it's getting harder and harder to throat punch an asshole and then have to worry about getting sued.

Rude as hell. Had a dang Asain guy face timing a gau a couple months ago. Dangedest conversation I've ever heard. Couldn't understand anything they were saying but the gal was crying about something near the end. Even took the phone with him to the buffet a caoupe times. Wanted to jap alap his arse but it was kinda funny listening to the chatter.

People talking or crunching candy wrappers in Church or the movie theater.
People listening to loud rap music while stopped at the convenience store pumping gas and then leaving it going while they walk inside to pay for their $10 of gas and buy a cherry flavored cigarillo.
People cutting you off in traffic or hogging the left lane.
People talking loudly on cell phones
People smoking of vaping in public.

There is a growing lack of common decency.

The list goes on and on. The reasons are these:

1. People are generally just getting sorry as hell, because...
2. Proper home training is becoming more and more rare these days, because...
3. There is a general decline in the family unit, because...
4. Father's and mothers ain't what they used to be, because... (See #1)

it is a vicious cycle.

I know... "Hey, get off my lawn." I sound like an old fuddy duddy, but seriously I see it getting a lot worse and not getting any better. We are seeing a decline in civilization like we have never seen before. Not only are people meaner, more inconsiderate, lacking in moral judgement, but they are stupid as all hell and then they all act like victims when they don't get their way. it's a recipe for cultural disaster.

We are quickly heading toward mob rule by a bunch of full grown toddlers.

I was in Jason Deli last week in Mobile. I'm sitting at a small table by myself eating my lunch while checking emails and looking on here. After about 5 minutes a young black couple sit at the table across from me. The female takes her phone and I'm guessing get's on Pandora and starts playing rap music. She sits her phone up on the table with one of them phone kick stands and starts to eat. Now this place is packed with folks plus ESPN is on the TV and these two jackasses just added more noise to my peaceful lunch break. I don't have a problem with all the other things going on because it's just part of life at lunch time in a restaurant. But I'm not going to tolerate any kind of music blaring from a phone during my lunch brake.

The table next to these two idiots is four business men having a lunch meeting and I could tell they were annoyed with the noise and the inconsiderate assholes sitting next to them but they wouldn't say anything so I did. I looked at the four suits and said, " where in the hell is that noise coming from?" That got the black dudes attention. He just looked at me but didn't say anything and neither did the suits. So I asked again. This time the head honcho in the suit said that he knew where it was coming from and that it was rude for people to assume that everyone sitting next to or around them wanted to hear it. I agreed with him and said hopefully they will turn it off. Well one of the suits gets up to refill his drink and as he stands up I see a badge and a Glock on his belt. And so did the black dude and he grabbed the phone and turned it off. The four suits were all LEO's. Glad they were there.
