I wish the rut was here already. Gotta wait a month for my place in Selmalia, and almost 2 months for my place in Baldwin County to heat up. Good luck y'all. Hope y'all kill a turdy pointer.

My wife’s uncle killed one of my target bucks yesterday morning. He was a 4 year old 8 point who’s rack didn’t match his body. I’d gotten lots of pictures of the buck on my land (adjoining property). My little boy was ecstatic to get to see the “dee-uh” (as he calls them)...Hopefully, I can get a buck on the ground soon since these older deer are beginning to get on their feet.

Y'all are gonna be proud of me. I finally decided to shoot a doe. The Grendel ate her up. Got her posted up.

I killed a decent 8 point this morning. He was actually a deer that I let walk on opening day of gun season. I’m a little bit disappointed in myself because I’ve been trying to hold out for a 4+ year old buck, but I’m still happy with him and thankful to get some more meat!!

had a good weekend, saw a stud yesterday morning but couldn't get a shot through the thicket. young bucks are starting to push our does around. in about 10 days the rut should be kicking in on my two places

I had a couple of pictures of my 8 point this year, but I always wondered which deer he was last year...After studying tons of pictures, I’ve finally figured out who he was. It turns out that he was a 4 year old this season after all...I let this deer walk as a 3 year old in December 2017 and I have his left shed (with the broken G3)...The year is incorrect on all pictures below.

I passed up a really nice 8 point for my butler county place saturday morning and for some reason I just cant bring myself to shoot a doe. taht makes to 100 inch bucks I've passed up this year, thinking both are 3/4 year old deer. been getting pictures all morning from my cell cam in montgomery county of bucks chasing does all over the place. I'll be there this afternoon trying to knock one down
