My spot has been pretty dead since the last week of November. Running 3 cameras around my fields and buck pictures had gotten few and far between, and daytime sightings nonexistent. Didn’t hunt last week, had things to do, & just didn’t have any confidence of seeing a buck. Didn’t hunt this morning, but checked my cameras a little while ago. Turns out I missed a good week. Secondary rut looks to be popping. Several pics of bucks following does, including some in broad daylight. Of course I’ve got plans this evening and can’t hunt today either. Crazy to think we are in our 2nd rut while lots of AL is still waiting on the first.

My place is a little northwest of Rogersville. Talked to a buddy who hunts Dude’s place in R’ville, he hunted this morning and saw 3 different bucks chasing does. I don’t figure it will last long since most of the does were probably bred in November.

I'm due east of R'ville just inside the 44 line. Cameras had 2 different 3 yr olds cruising mid day.

Several years ago I was in the club that leases Dude’s, and I still have friends that are in it. That’s an awesome property! Not many tracts like that around our area anymore.

Chasing more or less over.

It was a week later this year. I saw a bunch of it at the house and going to work the first 10-15 or so days of December. Was a bunch of big deer killed then too. Mind you, this is the western half of the county from 17 west

I’d be concentrating on food now with the acorn failure unless u are lucky and had acorns.

We were a little earlier than that on the eastern side of the county. Judging from my pics, Nov. 14-26 was the most active here. And I started getting pics of bucks tailing does again around Dec. 19.
