Serious question, how did they do that?

All I've seen comparing the two were manufacturing short cuts. Case in point was no longer machining the lateral lines in the top of the receiver.

I know, it's really not a big deal functionally, but some would argue it helped reduce glare.

Either way it is a step saved in manufacturing and makes the rifle just a little less expensive to produce. As for the stock changes, I have never thought I needed to change the pistol grip.

Maybe its just me, but I didn't see enough "X" tra to warrant the price increase.
