must not have coyotes where they hunt that thing woulda been a bone pile in 48 hours where we hunt congrats to the boy on his first deer I was quite surprised that they hadn't devoured him either. I think that the thicket he was in was a mixture of pines and cedars and very well could have helped with the scent. Also the fact that the hunters and several friends had been walking around there for the past 2 days may have kept them at bay.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.
