With all the abuses of power that I've seen alleged against GW's you would think someone would have networked social media to try to put together a case against the state. I hope I never get asked about loaded weapons in my vehicle or get stopped at one of these random check points because it probably won't end well for me if I can't bite my tongue. It is doubly hard when I feel purposely wronged just so some insecure authority figure can get their rocks off on a power trip.

I understand wardens have broader powers than regular LEO's but I don't see how they can check your guns if you refuse. Wouldn't citizens be within their right to refuse?

I dont know the answer, but in this case they checked the coolers without the hunters present. They only told them they checked them after the fact.

They pretty much have the power to check anything regarding taking game. They can also search your vehicle if they think you may have some game in there. Don’t even have to have a warrant or cause other than you’re a hunter.

So what if they had beer? Doesn't mean they are drinking it while hunting. And drinking while hunting ain't illegal. Not so smart, but still legal. They could have all been knee walking drunk, long as they weren't driving, and they are still perfectly legal.

When I'm on my property and encounter ANY other human, they stand the chance of being disarmed and walked out. I will not submit to a NAZI state.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

I was told a loaded gun in a vehicle = hunting from a motorized vehicle, I was on my dads land. The judge sad he was finding us guilty simply on intent. We appealed to a jury trial and it was dropped. Moral of this story is:the game wardens are the law in the woods, the judge is the law in that first courtroom, if you appeal you are subject to a jury of your peers where you just might be treated fairly.

They have broader powers only as it pertains to a place where game can be stored. That is the only way he was able to check the cooler. If there had a pound of meth in it and he went to court and said he was looking for beer, the meth would've been tossed out. If he had said he was looking for game, it would've been allowed..
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

It's also perfectly legal to hunt from any motorized vehicle. I really hope I never encounter any of these GWs making up their own laws.

Drinking and drunk (HUI) are two different things.
