That's what I thought too until I saw the blood running straight down its leg. Looked like its leg had some other blood on it. I couldn't imagine that it took a step at all. I did have one run about 50 yards on a shot that was just lower than that. It broke both front shoulders. I have no idea how that deer even took a step, much less run off.
