Awesome deer. Almost December and still in velvet? Was something wrong with it's nuts? Yep, they were tiny. Don't think he was going to be impregnating anyone this year.

Congrats Sakky! That’s a trophy for sure. I’m sitting on the ground in a bottom looking up a hardwood ridge. Rain got here earlier than expected. Admittedly I had not checked the hour hourly forecast since this morning but last I’d seen showed it moving in at 7. I weathered first few showers then it got hard and I retreated to a shooting house. Hadn’t sat here in awhile and pines are blocking half my view. I fished til nearly 3 then ran and got in stand.
I’ll have to return here with my machete.
