I'm just gonna start taking my girlfriend's car on my trips then I can smuggle all my out off state deer in without being profiled. Problem solved.

They did this two years ago. Same place. At that time you were allowed to bring deer back from Tennessee. I had to show my TN license and the reporting tag number from on my phone. This year I'm not even buying a hunting license. Too many rules and regs. Hunting isn't fun anymore when it requires a law degree and internet connection.

Arrested for what? I don't know about Alabama but not many wildlife violations here are arrestable offenses. All of them are arrestable offenses. You have two options, sign the little sheet of paper where the arrest takes place or go to jail and pay bond to get out. Most choose to sign that copy on site. By signing you are not admitting guilt. You’re simply agreeing to pay the bond amount specified if you don’t take care of it by the court date.

Must not have many cdl holders on here. Is it considered profiling when troopers set up on interstate and pick random trucks to pull over to do a DOT inspection on? (I’m not talking about weigh stops)
Wardens just trying to do their job. Follow the rules Oh yeah that happens. Most truck drivers don't like it either. No they don't but they know when they get that CDL and get behind the wheel of that rig that it will happen. Just part of the privilege of being able to drive. True.

It'll piss you off when only grain trucks and log trucks are being weighed and the DOT flagman waves company haulers in van trailers on by. That's profiling It happens.

Yes I know that. I guess I should have worded it better. Most of the time when a civilian says arrested they mean taken into custody. Most violations here results in citations being issued also. I shoulda asked if they were "placed under arrest detained and taken to jail". Sorry for the confusion.

Most loggers don't care about being checked, it is usually the amount of time the DOT take when they stop a truck. It isn't unusual for a DOT guy to hold a truck for two or more hours. A lot of times that will cut his production by at least a load for the day. If some gung ho DOT guy stops the same loggers trucks multiple times a week it gets very expensive for the logger. A big bunch of crap about weight tickets is that the DOT will use those little portable scales, often right out side of the mill gates. If he says you are over weight and then your truck goes in the mill to a state certified whole truck scale and it shows him to be legal the logger will still have to pay the ticket based on the portable scale.

What is the rule for transporting a deer from Alabama through Mississippi? It say completely deboned meat from states and countries with confirmed CWD cases. Alabama is not on the list. I always debone and freeze before leaving camp but I have guys that are quartering and cutting everything off the spine and throwing spine and heads away. We want to make sure we are following the rule but it's not very clear.

I think they should setup these boom lifts in all the neighborhoods and have them manned all the time so they can look down in your windows, your backyard, pretty much everywhere. And that's on top of the extensive camera system they should have in the neighborhoods that are recording everything from every angle all the time. Hell, they should just intercept and listen to all of our calls and make sure we aren't up to anything illegal and every conversation is on the up and up. Hell yeah, I hope the government gets all up in my business without any reason just b/c I have a big cooler in my backyard or in the back of my truck. Might as well just give em our guns while we're at it, let them make sure nothing out of the ordinary with them, may need to keep them for 3-4 years to clear them, not a big deal. Hallb, I believe I know what you are saying. I don't like the inconveniences either and to a certain degree I don't like people up in my business. Not because I have something to hide, but because I have things and people I want to protect. But I also know that there are idiots out there that are willing to say, "to heck with those game laws, they'll never catch me". Those idiots will be the very ones that bring CWD into Alabama. If it's not already here. People are just stupid. I've seen the videos of those people on Youtube that go around filming police stations, poling stations, and other public places because they are doing "audits". What they are doing is being jerks who make it their life's mission to stick it to the MAN. And how dare the law tell them what to do, how to do it, and when to do it? Where I work manufacturers have to place "not for IV use" stickers on bottles of enteral tube feed. Guess why? Because somebody STUPID hooked it up to a patients IV some time in the past. That's why some of our laws appear to be stupid and "over reaching", it's because of stupid people. That's why we can't have nice things. If every person were honorable, unselfish, honest, and educated then I'm sure our laws would give more free range. But unfortunately COMMON SENSE is a super power now.

Every truck, every third truck, etc. etc. but it has to be a pattern. Random is an evil word for when talking about roadblocks.

When longtime hunters give up and quit that's terrible and definitely not a positive thing for hunting, especially since participation has declined by about half in the last quarter-century.

I am in no way against law enforcement. That is why I said let them do their job.
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
