I gave them to my buddy Doublelung after our hunt this evening, I guess I could have saved them for turkey season, oh well. Yes, I would have shipped them to you otherwise.

No problem. I did not actually think you would have them that long if you were really going to give them away. But hey, if you feel throwing $40 dollars away, you can buy another pack and send them to me.

Finally am getting to try out my 2-blade Rage's..3 shots 3 complete, stuck 6 inches in the soil pass throughs

Recovery was a breeze on the first two, 60 yards at the most..the last was a dang gut shot at 6 yards when the deer suddenly stepped to the left and ruined everything..

Killed my first deer with my new Mathews bow using Rage 3 blade. Passthough, big entry hole, broken ribs, good blood trail, piled up at 40 yards. One of our other members is using the Rage 2 blade and has shot 2 deer but only recovered 1.

Shot several deer with the 2 and the 3 blade. Complete pass through everytime. Including and 43yd double lung on a slick head. Love them Rage's

I quit shooting mechanical broadheads several years ago when I lost 2 large bucks due to lack of penetration and blood trail, both where broad side shots that hit in the front shoulder chest area. I shoot Montecs now and haven't lost a deer to date. I killed a 195 lb half rack last year with the montec it broke one shoulder took out heart and lungs and stuck in the ground on the other side of the deer, the shot was about 35 yds and the deer ran 25 and piled up. just my 2.

This is my first year shooting Rage heads. I bought the 3 blade 100 gr. On 11/4/08 I shot two does within 5 or so minutes and both were complete pass throughs.

Doe #1 ran roughly 15 yards - liver shot, Doe #2 ran roughly 25-30 yrads - double lung shot.

Doe #1 was 30 yards and Doe #2 was 35 yards acoording to Bushnell.

Both had huge holes and incredible blood trails.

For the record I use a Switchback xt 65lbs and carbon express maxima 350 arrows.

So far I am impressed. I obviously didn't hit shoulder bone so I can't comment on what will happen there but as for now I'm sticking with the rage.

I can't wait for you Rage lovers to shoot a hog. That's gonna be funny.

Had a complete pass thru on a 200 lb plus hog last Tuesday with an expandable Snyper. Didn't make it over 40 yds before it died. 2 other hunters shot hogs with 3 blade muzzys. One pass thru with no recovery and one with no exit wound and we found it. All goes back to shot placement.

It's always easy to have something to blame it on. Democrats blame it on the "rich people". Poor shots blame it on the broadhead and bullet.

But Outback, you are correct. Hogs are funny animals. They squeal like pigs. And that's funny. Especially when you shoot them.

I know he killed the deer but is that really all the penetration you want when you shoot a deer

Have you shoot a 250# buck square in the shoulder with a fixed blade? What was the outcome? How much penetration did you get?

I've got a question. What condition were your mech. heads in after you've shot deer with them? Were they pretty much trashed or did you have to change the blades? One reason I shoot fixed heads is I can take the blades out after a shot, touch up the edge on them and hunt with them again.

Out of curiosity, I went to Youtube and typed in "Bowhunting and deer and muzzy" and did a search. A dozen videos came up. The first two I watched were not pass through shots. I thought fixed blade broadheads, especially Muzzys, offered guaranteed pass throughs each and every shot. What's going on?

I haven't shot the Rage Heads so I'm not sure about them but I shoot the G5 Tekans (another rearward opening broadhead) and have had nothing but good luck with them. I've killed three deer with them (all were complete pass throughs) and all three piled up in less than 60 yards. The first deer was a doe and that arrow went thru both shoulders, and broke the offside leg. She looked like she had been shot with a rifle when she ran off. And the blood trails are phenomenal.

I usually just replace the blades in my Snypers. 90% of the time the main body og the broadhead is fine after a shot. Every now and again I'll have to buy a pack of new broadheads.

I've not shot the rage heads yet. I have a friend that does and loves them. I've shot mechanicals over the years, still do some, and don't have a problem with those that do. All I know about it is my kinfolks that process deer had a bunch of rages they had dug out of deer when I took mine yesterday. He said he's seen a lot of them that don't come out when they hit the slightest bone.

I'm not knocking them or those that shoot them, just telling you what folks that see them from the inside are finding.
