Got number 2 this morning! I was hunting my favorite spot as far as you can possibly get from our camphouse and not be hunting with demp17 and daffyducksworstnightmare. I sent an early text to my buddies to test my cell service, which is spotty depending on the weather. As soon as I looked up I had a doe flash through some thick stuff close to the bluff edge at the bottom of the wooded ridge I was on. I stared in that direction for about 5 minutes waiting for something to show, but it never did. Very shortly after, Jughead sent me a BOOM text with a pic of a nice bobcat he shot on the neighboring club to our west side. Two seconds later, at 0715, someone fired off on the club to our east and it sounded really close to me. Only 10 minutes later, I had a doe quietly slip in at 50 yards in the bottom below my ridge with this buck making enough noise with his movement to catch my attention. He wasn't really chasing her, just following behind her with varying speeds while she walked the entire time. When he got below me along the same trail where I first saw the doe, I macked him and stopped him in his tracks. One shot and he ran uphill about 30 yards, and no weiner dogs required.
