Yes still seeing deer but no shooters. I did however see a big one riding in the truck at 1:00 today. He was standing in a fescue field 20 yards off of the National Forest, but he had no choice but to come from the forest land. I can’t wait to scout it out tomorrow. It’s 100% chance of rain here tomorrow and that’s when I like to do my scouting. All bucks are separate and most does do not have little ones with them. We finally have a cold front moving in tomorrow, so things should get going good any day now.

I'm following. Best of luck to yall. Y'all are living every Hunter's dream. Even if you don't get one, the experience is well worth it.

Gotta say I'm jealous.. even still hope u get a good un....my buddy lands a 130+ every other year outta state on public land bowhunting

Running low on shower water, so as you can see we are catching fresh rain water and pouring it in the fresh water tank on camper. Utilizing what the good lord is giving us.

Muddy mess at base camp. Truck will not go up and down this hill without getting stuck, so we are parking at the gate by the road and walking to the truck and it sucks.

Spotted this today riding around in the rain. It’s an old one seater wagon.

I will get more pictures of how these people live and I post later, but this picture will give you an idea. Lawrence County Ohio is the poorest place I have ever been. Some of these people live way out in the mountains 40 minutes from a dang gas station. Its one thing being poor, but 70% are just damn right nasty & lazy. No doubt most are living off a government checks.

My buddy crossing creek to see where the deer came from yesterday that we seen. “Best time to scout is in the rain”. Well on the way back things turned bad when we crossed. The water had risen and we had to cross this same log coming back out to get to the truck. You guessed it he fell in that cold ass water. The good lord was watching after him, because the current could have sucked him under the log. We hauled tail back to the truck 300 yards away thank goodness and got him dried out. Boots also filled up with water. Wet head to toe. Scary moment to say the least.

Just got through grilling a big ribeye & drinking a cold one, now it’s bed time.

He may as well have grabbed the basketball in the creek! Enjoyable thread and good luck to you!

Tuesday Nov. 10th LFTT.
I finally got a cell phone signal while hunting for the first time. I’m set up on the edge of a big ole nasty pine/honeysuckle thicket with rubs and scrapes in it and around it. Two trails within shooting distance flat wore out. Local have said all week the rut will start Saturday when the cold front hits. Well it’s Saturday and it has sleeted and snowed on me for the last hour. It’s 30 degrees and the temp is falling. I only have one glove and it’s not the one I hold my bow with. Here is a little snow on my bow and the thicket.
