Outdoor Obsession......
So you are wrong on all of your assumptions. I also must say that most people on this site seem to enjoy having newcomers to the site. Truth is that I have followed for years and only recently got a password to join in and it has been enjoyable and entertaining.
So I have hunted and lived in Alabama my whole life. I am 50 years old and as of last year have killed 132 deer in this state. My largest in this state is a buck I killed in Jackson County 10 years ago he scored 144” I took a survey the other day in one of the links here to realize that I have in fact hunted in 26 counties in Alabama. I have also leased land in Illinois, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia. Having killed another 32 deer combined in those states.
I guess what I am saying is that I have been very blessed to have the money to pursue my hunting passion.
I also do in fact have a minor in wildlife biology from Auburn University and studied under Dr. Keith Causey. So you were correct in your assumption of the partial Biology background.
I currently am in a club in Green county which is 4800 acres and I lease 2400 aces in Jefferson county for myself.
The only point I was trying to make is that I have never seen this much scraping activity at this time of year...to this degree. As I stated before, we have all seen scrapes , but not to this degree. All of my mature bucks are still in bachelors groups right now so this does not add up with the level of primary scrapes I am seeing.
So before you start talking smack....
A few things:
You want to see big deer, crawl out of Trinity Alabama wherever that sheet hole is and I will show you a few.
Yes, I don’t post much because I have a life but thanks for the welcome to the club...very nice.
Finally, I am sorry you are stuck using PawPaws old ‘06 at the Local WMA but I am sure they respect you there!!
Please remember, no matter how many times you roll that deer in the dirt, it will not make those spots go away!!
