Shot a nice buck around 1745, hit him back. Watched him run out to about 70 yards, fell down/tipped over and just laid there. Thought he was dead but looking through the binos his head was up. The other two bucks he was with came by to get him but he stayed and they walked off. Climbed out of the tree as quite as I could, checked the arrow (gut) and left the area. Hopefully he dies and the coyotes don’t get him. It will be a sleepless night. To be continued.............
Good luck!....Hopefully he'll be laying right where you left him. Don't panic if he isn't.....I've seen this happen and the deer get up and move 300 yards then bed back down. If he's not where you left him you may want to call in a dog.
