Last I heard the Stevenson mill pays between $25 and $30 a ton delivered. But that's been a while and it can fluctuate . They pay a little premium for those that have a really long haul. Brent M might know the current price for sure.

I think y'all are talking about 2 different prices here. AFOA shows average stumpage prices for hw pulpwood the 2nd Quarter as $14.96. If someone is paying $20 stumpage now, then that is a nice increase. I think some of the other prices in this thread are total paid by the mill, that is the money for both the landowner and the producer. Am I misunderstanding?

You are correct PCP, stumpage/landowner price of $20 a ton would be record high up here I'd suspect.

We were getting paid around $10/ton in Montgomery county last month on HW pulp. What we were having cut was a somewhat tedious/specialty job so we may have been getting a little less than your normal thinning/clearcut pay but I'm not sure.

I got something like $10/ton for hardwood pulp in Pike county this spring. Mine was definitely not a high production tract. I had a pretty long drag to the ramp.

We were getting $6.50/ton on pine pulp and a buddy just up the road was getting around $5.50/ton on PP both in Montgomery county.

Was getting $19 on hwd and $7 on pine in the summer. Really makes you think about killing all the hwd and planting pine
