Let me get Ford for 150, Bob!
I bought a used F150 Lariat Crewcab a few months ago. I absolutely love it.
Both trucks are awesome. Get chu one man.

These threads always get interesting. I bought my GM's way before the buyout, and they have all ways served me very well, never had any problems other than an occasional starter or alternator. Between my Dad and I we've put 200,000+ miles on 6 of them 300K+ on 3 and my wife was approaching 200K when she was hit by the drunk driver. You simply cannot kill them. This says enough for me: Like a Rock.

Ford makes a better 1/2 ton than Chevy based on what I've seen.

There's rarely a week go by on here that someone doesn't ask a question on why their Chevy is broke.
My wifes car is a 2006 Impala. It was fine till the warranty quit. Then I swapped out the rear head gasket, water pump, battery, front/rear speakers, tranny cooler line fittings. It has about 82K miles now.
Before that she had a 2002 Impala. Tranny went out 70K later.
I've had a few rangers and they held up good.
I'll stick with my 2004 Tundra 4WD. I guess I shouldn't complain about changing the gas cap.

I will admit that the Chevy cars are junk...trucks/SUV's are another story IMO.

...But if I ever buy an American truck it will be a Ford because they didn't sell out to the government Ford would be my choice, as well, because they didn't sell out to the leftists. I have no affection toward the brand. To me, a truck is a tool designed to perform a task. None of them are worth what they cost and that's why I will never buy a new one, of any kind.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

2008 Chevy 2500 HD and a 2007 Chevy Tahoe! If someone gave me a Ford I'd trade it for another Chevy!

Sitting in the driveway: '91 4x4 2500 '97 4x4 Suburban '99 4x4 2 door Tahoe '01 4x4 Suburban
We haven't owned a car in 12 years, but when it comes to trucks.....Chevy for me.
We run F250s at work.....it's a nightmare trying to keep them running....blown head gaskets, front axles, rear ends, wheel bearings, oil leaks, burning a gallon of oil between oil changes with only 175K miles, ect.

1997 F-150 4x4 - only non-routine maintenance was the gas tank filler neck cracked and had to be replaced about 6 years ago.
