[/b]yeah i wouldn't like that at all.....if i don't have good cover i often times will put the stand on the opposite side of the tree from which i think the deer will come from,but i wouldn't want to be facin the tree....

i come from northeast pa and this is my first year hunting down here and i never used a stand up there so you can kill deer with out one

I hunt on the ground and use the same method get behind the tree I use one of the small Bull Dog blinds that stand up about 40" I have been busted 1 time in 5 years on the ground the deer just happened to come out 5 feet from where I was sitting and I was really looking her in the eyes.
