My brother shot one on September 23rd. Anyone else killed a banded dove yet? He called it in and they told him it was released in Fairview on 1/1/17. He killed it around stouts mountain between hanceville and dodge city.

Been hunting doves for at least 30 years and have averaged 50+ doves per year. Have never seen a banded dove in person. Y'all are lucky!!!

I think they usually use a mesh cage and some bait to get them in it.

Never seen a dove band but my buddy shot a pigeon that had 3 bands on it. One said AU.

He tasted just like the others.

Na not me, I have a buddy that has a whole lanyard full. He’s killed a pile of neck collared geese as well. Luckiest sob I’ve ever seen

How old and what species was the bird wearing the top right band? Looks old and worn down
