You have time to replant if you doin it real soon. I'm planting my one and only plot on my property in the next 10 days.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Really I figured you would have to replant if it was army worms. If that is the case may be best to give it a week and see before replanting.

I've never seen anything come back unless replanted either. If they came back nobody would get upset about them either.

If the field is wheat or oats something that grows all winter the worms eat it just like deer and it will keep growing once they moved on from my experience. They mowed some buck forage oats a few yrs ago a few weeks later they looked as good as new.

My yard gets eaten every other year or so in September and it always grows back the next yr when the grass starts growing

Id say army worms. My cat caught a couple the other day so they are around.

She likes to leave everything she kills on the porch. I saw them and said UH OH... They will kill a greenfield . They did mine a go years ago.

I reseeded them as I didnt know if theyd grow back or not.

Cleaned my pool out today and there were several hundred dead 1 1/2 - 2 inch caterpillar looking worms in my pool. Couldn't tell for sure what color they were but apeared to be a greenish brown but had been in water for few days looked like.

Army worms look like they have and old army helmet on. That's an easy way to ID them.

HERE
is one color phase. we get a lot of the big darker phase ones in the pool, too the side stripes are a give-away, along with the lil helmet.
