I bought a 2500 Ram a year ago from a younger guy, and it has these godawful offset rims on it. I’m about to pull the trigger on a new set of rims and tires. Anybody got a place around B’ham or online that’ll save me some money?

Are you sure It is the wheels and that he wasn’t running spacers? I’m positive. I’ll go by 4 wheel parts and see what they can do. The tires don’t have much tread left so they aren’t worth much, but the wheels should be worth something to a young guy somewhere that like chit slung all over the side of his truck. The truck is lifted, so swapping for stock tires is out of the question. Got 37’s on it now. I’m going back with 35’s, but stock wheels would be fine w me.

I can’t stand those goofy looking aftermarket wheels when someone takes off a nicer set of stock wheels off of a nice truck.

There is a place behind pee wee's pawn in Pelham with decent prices. I got a good deal on some tire last year. They have a bunch of wheels in stock.

There are people all over Facebook wanting to trade. There’s a page called alabama tire/wheel trader I think. And Facebook Marketplace. I hate FB but some of the stuff is hard to pass on.

If you haven't already bought new tires and wheels I would go to www.discounttiredirect.com and spec out the tires and wheels you want and they will mount them all up, balance them and ship them to you for free. All you have to do is bolt them on. They will even furnish the lug nuts. Then sell your wheels on craigslist.

Thanks for all the ideas and advice. I’m gonna check out fakebook and see what I see there. I tried to trade with chico’s (+ cash obviously) and he acted like I was trying to rip him off and blew me off. Maybe it’s his crappy English or something? Don’t know, but he can keep his wheels there. I know online will probably save me some, but wanted to give my money to a local. I’ll check the place behind pee wee’s Pawn.

If it’s a fixer upper, whatever Believe it or not, some folks will buy a brand new, nice truck and put those G’ed out wheels on there. Doesn’t look very good to me, but to each his own.

How bad off set are they? I like wheels up to 10" wide. Beyond that, I think they're stupid looking.
