Rosenstein is /was meeting today with the WH Chief of Staff...meeting was already scheduled. He was also at the WH meeting on Friday too.
Apparently at some point he had a long telephone conversation with Trump about the article and his actions/comments.
Trump is at the UN Assembly in New York. He's meeting with Rosenstein on Thursday once he is back in DC.

Bama1157, it would appear you are the victim of fake news. Nobody, not even the liberal media outlets are confirming or even mentioning anything of the sort. All they say is that he's attending a meeting at the Whitehouse.
Knowing Rosenstien, and what he's done in the past, he's not about to resign. He's probably getting ready to announce that he's appointing a special counsel to investigate the Kavanaugh allegation stuff in an attempt to keep him from getting confirmed and seated on the USSC.

Sessions is the real problem even Gowdy said the other day on TV that he had undeniable evidence of someone leaking and Sessions point blank told him he was not going to prosecute anyone for it... that it was too close to the Trump/Russia/Clinton thing. That was in Sessions office during a meeting to address this very issue with witnesses in the room.
I wouldn't pizz on him if he was on fire. That is unbelievable to me.
Sessions is the problem.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Sessions is gone after the mid-terms.....the only way Rosenstein leaves before mid-terms is resignation....I don't think Trump will fire Rosenstein but might present a way to save face

Trump should ACCEPT Rosenstiens resignation. That way hes NOT firing him. Heck, if Rosenstien verbally resigned to Kelly.. then Kelly should have accepted it and said " Well thanks for your service. We appreciate it. But if YOU felt your statements against the President were that bad, then I appreciate your candor and accept your resignation." Then shake his hand and send him on his way . That keeps Trump out of it. Plus Ole Rod would make beaucoup dollars with his "tell all " book. Everyone wins!

I think he wants to resign for two reasons..to make it look like Trump pressured him out. But resigning IS NOT getting fired. It is self induced. Also, i think he sees Jim Comey and Mc Cabe making money on their books and want part of the action. These "Trump Derangement Syndrome" people are buying up those books like crazy. Heck, I bet CNC bought 2 of each!  Keeps them right there on his nightstand with Hillary's "What Happened" best seller! Sorry CNC, sometimes I cant help myself....
