the springfield armory loaded models are really nice for a factory gun. they come with alot of the features people want to add later on you can find them on gunbroker for under that price range and depending on if its stainless or blued

I didn't care for the sights on the range officer so I bought the loaded model

Yes, but they’re overpriced. You’re paying for the name. In that price range your best bet is a Springfield then a Ruger.

I have a Kimber CLE II and Sonny speaks the truth. I got a smoking deal on it though. THE issue most of us have with Kimber is that they (and some others) have some MIM parts (metal injection molded) that aren't as sound as machined/forged parts

I'm a firm believer in night sights on a sidearm. If I was in the market for ANY sidearm it would already have or soon have night sights.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Not sure if that's still the case or not but if I'm buying a 1911 it is going to made exclusively in the US or go for cheap like RIA.

Yeah but it's my understanding they were made by two totally different manufacturers. IMBEL of Brazil made the forged Springer frame. I THINK, Taurus makes their frames in house.

Kinda like the Philippine 1911's. You have ARMSCOR who makes the good ones like the RIA's , Twin Pines , STI Spartan, Cimarron, Auto Ordinance, and Charles Daley 1911s and then there is the other bunch, Metro Arms Corporation who makes the junk know as the American Classic and Firestorm 1911s.

There are two types of gun enthusiasts ... Those who have been F#CKED by PTG and those who will be!

So whats your opinion on the Auto Ordinance 1911? Asking for a Friend because he owns one.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

As much as I hate on 1911's (mostly joking) I'd love a Sig Scorpion
