Outdoor stores are a tough business. The markup needed to run a brick and mortar store makes them damn near not competitive. Many folks go to the outdoor store to fondle the products then order off the net. Unless they can differentiate themselves through great service, knowledge and also be a damn good salesman, most don't have a chance. That's probably true but when you add shitty attitude, piss poor customer service, and crooked business practices it's amazing they stay open but I prefer to shop local and if a place has good customer service and treat customers like family I'll pay a little higher price for some stuff.
