She should buy one box of ammo, wrap it up and give it to him with the cash to go pick it out for himself. What you like and fits your hand might not be right for him. Or she could take him to the gun store and see which one he likes. Just ask which one would you buy if you were to buy one. That's how I picked my wife's engagement ring out. I got her to come by the jewelry store and asked her what she liked. I am glad I did that cause I was a little bit off on my selection.
