A sad day for America. Also sad what some are still doing.

I was working on an office building near down town Huntsville. We had the radio on John Boy & Billy. They said something about a plane hitting the first tower, then after the second plane they stopped the regular show and went stright news. Every place you went into after that has a TV on and stores that sold them were out of them.

God Bless all of you that have and do serve. All gave some. Some gave all. God Bless America. I'm sure it has effected all of us in here and everywhere

Delivering defoliants to the air strip in Selma. Wee were spraying cotton that pretty morning. Never forget it. Had to ground the spray plane of course when FAA ordered it. Sat there in the office and watched it all day.

I was in Auburn walking to a Trig exam. I was glad it was cancelled but in awe about what I saw on TV.

Just drove onto campus for a class, heard it on the radio turned around went home and watched. Sad times that changed so many people's life forever!

Mrs. Poole’s fourth grade English class. We didn’t switch classes that day we stayed in her room and watched the news.

I was at work drinking coffee and talking to my secretary. It was my second anniversary. We had the TV on in my office and watched the second tower get hit. Watched TV the rest of the day.

I had two friends that worked in the towers. Both got out and lived. JT, one of them was never the same and ended up becoming a drug addict and losing his job. Ever other person he worked with died.

I was working in Crestline that morning. Got to a tv and watched it all day.

I left the house late to go pick up parts from the john deere place and was almost to the chicken plant where I worked when I first heard about it. Spent most of the day looking at the news.

At school in the 6th grade

I was in my office in Decatur at that time. We watched as the second plane hit the second tower. I called all my people in from the field and we watched TV the rest of the day. We had a major fiber cutover scheduled in the wee hours a couple of nights later but the government put a hold on any communications outages until things were sorted out.

We have a TV in our break room. One of our guys comes in my office and tells me a plane had hit the first tower. I walk into the break room about the time the 2nd plane hits. We both looked at each other and knew. This was not an accident.

Freshman year of high school. I remember going through the whole day in a daze. That was the day I knew I was going to enlist. I’d had the thought in the back of my mind since I was a little tyke but that day cemented it.

I was in Opelika. When I got to the office was after the first plane. I turned around and drove home in Columbus. I watched the rest of the day. I've never felt so depressed or useless as that day. I knew another war was coming and I was too old to re-enlist.

Right after P.E. in 6th grade. We got back to the classroom and watched on tv the second plane hit.

I picked up my 1998 Landcruiser; which I am still driving.
Took the rest of the day considering what was happening to our world.
Was also amazed how many people went on not realizing the impact of what had happened

Fifth grade year for me. Remember the principal running in the room terrified and telling my teacher to turn on the tv

Freshman year at Auburn. I saw what was going on and decided to go on to class. I got to Haley Center and saw everyone staring at the TVs like zombies. Decided it was best to walk back home.

Greenville SC at a Lockheed-Martin aircraft overhaul facility. HQ NAVAIR was on-site doing an inspection on their aircraft. The facility had several TV's. News traveled fast halting the inspection. Everyone was glued to TV's. Then the 2nd aircraft was incoming live on the news. When they announced all flights were grounded, I knew the shucks was real.

Freshman in college...terrible day for our country

At work building Mobile Homes back then. We heard it on the radio and then rigged up a television that was supposed to go in one of the Mobile homes to watch. At first when I saw the 1st plane crash into the building, I thought it had to be a movie trailer. I thought, how crazy that they are showing a stinking trailer when something real was happening at the trade center. It slowly sunk in though that this is real. Production at the plant completely stopped and we all stood and watched for hours. As they were reporting about the other planes, When the second one hit the tower and the one that crashed on the way to DC and the one that hit the pentagon left no doubt that it was no accident. I'm sure that if any muslims had worked with us they would have had a terrible accident at work that day.
