Sitting here's boring... The elk come off a big hill in the timber and cross a small river to get in to field. So, ya gotta stayed tucked in the brush.

Got a good wind, hoping they don't cross behind me. Why is it that when you think you hear a stick break as prime time approaches, ya gotta pee?

Timberlands are OPEN finally get to run and gun. Got home at 0930 today. I dropped my bow on rocks. Nicked a limb and the sight took a hit. Made it home to shoot and its still on thankfully. If it had been worse, no biggie, i have a back up bow tuned with broadheads to 70yds.,,

Had a 4x4 come out a 500yds. Put my stealth moves on him and got to 34yds. Decided to give him a pass. Taking my sin in there tomorrow and see if we can wack him.

Got in this morning and was making our way up the old road through the clear cut to get on top of the hill to sit. With less than 100yds to go an elk broke and ran down hill. It was a spike, prolly 16" tall. He started barking. My son and I nicked arrows anticipating more elk in the area. Sure' nuff, a bull sneaking into the reprod above us. At least we saw an elk though...
