To my fellow Libertarian, 'tis nice to have some company round here! grin

Yes it is his right to kneel during the National Anthem. A lot of damn good people died giving him that right. It's every ones right to buy what they want too. But that's not the issue here. The issue is his stance is based on a false narrative. Statistics show that white officers do not target blacks. Why doesn't he take a stance on black on black killings? I find it interesting that this liberal and the rest of his followers plus the liberal media get all in an uproar and protest in the streets tearing up and destroying public and private property when a white police officer kills a black but when they kill each other it's nothing! I know why he and others don't. Because it's bad publicity for the democrats that run these shithole cities to address the senseless killing of black minors. That doesn't get them re elected like ranting and raving over a false narrative and ruining an innocent police officers life that was tried and convicted by the left wing media.

The media wants you and others to think it's about him kneeling but it's not. It's all about a false narrative agenda.

The thing is, though, this isn't a 3- to 4-day event and then everyone moves on to the next SJW-Boycott-Crisis event. Nike will be showing his face over and over with this campaign and continually reminding Americans about it.

THAT part to me is stupid. They've taken a clearly divisive person and are going to use him for months in the campaign. So that could knock more money off their share value. Probably won't be much more than a few percentage points, but when you're in the $80s a loss of $5 to $10 isn't anything to sniff at.

Calling bullschit on that one. If those are actual true, non biased numbers, this country is beyond repair.

Probably won't happen. But it'll be interesting to see if any of the affiliated universities do that or attempt to.

except Nike/UnderArmor/Adidas give way more than Bob and Pete do.

Alabama's current deal with Nike through 2025 is actually kindof crappy, and is still $5,250,000 a year, and a $5M signing bonus.

UCLA and Under Armour have $280M/15 years. Nike has deals with Ohio State for $252M and Texas for $250M.

Holy phug. The aldeer ban list just gone thrown on its head. Tuning in now.

Nike ( listed as NKE on NYSE) lost $3.75B in market cap today as the markets / analysts reacted to this decision. Stockholders will have the head of those who decided this was a good idea, regardless of how much apparel does/ does not get purchased.

Oh, I personally agree it's a completely false narrative. HE believes it's true, but people die for lies every day. Things like this bolster my belief and confidence in a sovereign Lord and end-times prophecy. Such rabid adherence to an illogical false-narrative can only be true if folks have been "blinded" (given over to all manner of maladies). It's anti-colonialism, yes it's cloaked in accusations of racism and bigotry, but those are ethereal philosophies that can't actually be proven. Besides, we're a post-modern culture, the simpleton idea of "racism" is water way under bridge. Nobody literally hates the guy across the road anymore because he's "black". You hate the guy across the road because he's believes the idea of America is based on oppression. We don't have a race war, we have a culture war. Nike and Kaepernick don't want to end racism, they want multi-culturalism. And multi-culturalism will ALWAYS be the death of a society. Multi-culturalism is the antithesis of "colonialism", it's the utopian idea that everything is equal, all ideas are valid, there is no "right or wrong", and that's why it's popular to market yourself like that these days. Sounds good, don't it?...especially if you see yourself (or your company) as visionaries of the future (that's how NIke, and most of the world younger than us sees themselves). I see everything through a biblical lense, it's all spiritual (for our war is not with flesh & blood, but against the spiritual forces). Everything is spiritual. And unless a man is spiritually changed, you're pissing in the wind with all your "conservative authoritarianism". Again, we personally agree on American ideals, I'm just completely unfazed by and unconcerned with public grandstanding. Like I said, I didn't buy Nike stuff because I assumed we agreed, nor don't buy it because of this.

Oh don’t worry about it. According to Clem it’s like comparing nickles to dollars. But wait you said $3.75billion and that’s with a “B”.

People would complain that they’re too expensive if they made them in US

Bottom line is, someone is going to complain no matter what

A friend of mine is an analyst that’s on all the networks. He says the hit for just today is close to $9B. And he’s a liberal. They might recoup that tomorrow but $9B ain’t chump change to anyone, company or country.

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids
