I’ll trade you a redhawk rifles Remington 700 Alaskan titanium clone in 257 wby mag with dnz one piece rings, brass, projectiles, and dies (got this gun from JW at Pikeville several years ago and never could pick a good deal on a scope for it) AND a summit titan and 2 summit stands (one is steel viper and 1 is aluminum looks like a viper with the collapsible frame) AND a swift kick to your nuts!

Another trade option is those stands, a Benelli m1 12 ga dipped in bottomland with pistol grip and rhino choke, and a Stainless Taurus 40 cal, I forget the model, and 2 swift kicks to your nuts

From you....I'll take all of those things you listed, $500 cash in boot, and you can keep the swift kicks.

So a feller sharing my Berger and Barnes load data without permission or royalties actually feels like 2 swift kicks.
But since I’m already nut hurt, can’t see any harm in letting you all know they both shoot one ragged hole at 100. And the first guy to offer 2 more swift kicks gets to see 0.3 MOA groups at 300 and 500 yards.

I'm a little shocked that a 7 mag isn't well above 3000 ft/sec on both loads you shared, esp with those lighter bullets. I'm getting nearly 2800 ft/sec with 168's (obviously 30 cal bullets) out of my 308. I'm not familiar with loading that cartridge though, you may be well below advertised max charge.
You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Yes, those loads are lethargic in a 7mm Remington magnum. I'm pushing a 168 gr Berger at 2900 in mine with a 24" barrel. I load 160 Accubonds to 2900 in my brother's 280 Remington. 3000 FPS + with 160 gr bullets is easy in a 7 mag with a 26" barrel like the sendero rifles have. How long is the barrel on your 308? I'm using 44.2 gr of R15 with a 168 AMAX for 2670 FPS in a 24" barrel. Shoots bugholes at that velocity. If I push it past 2700 the bolt lift gets sticky.

Those speeds are what it took to find the sweet spot. Faster got sloppy but I too was surprised that I could not find a faster node. I even talked to a tech at Berger and his response was something like “some barrels are just slow”. Could be just his way of getting me to accept what I had or maybe he’s spot on. Either way I tried real hard to make faster work but just couldn’t.

I hit a slow accuracy node with my 7 saum. As long as it groups most folks will never know the difference.

I have only worked with 160 AB’s in mine and though it shot plenty good above 3000 fps, I liked the ragged hole at 2900ish fps. Until I decide to shoot through 3 or 4 elk standing side by side instead of a damn whitetail inside of 400 yards in Alabama, I dont imagine it being “slow” will matter a whole lot.

Try some of the new reloader 26 powder should get close to 100 FPS extra with accuracy I think I’m gonna try selling it to somebody else if all of you reloading nerds would quit cluttering up my post.
