I had a coon come up on me in NE two years ago.
I had worked birds all evening and was pinned down in a pile of logs. I had two coons come in and started walking one of the logs. I tried moving my gun a little to get them to move on. One did, the other thought I was something interesting. He ran up the log and got about 5 ft from my face. I jumped up and put the bead on him.
Not sure who was more excited. That would have made a mess.
