I heard of tales where there are turkey and all you had to do was pull up and blow your horn and they would gobble.

So did I. I stay at the cabins often when working in Franklin and Marion counties. Maybe someday I’ll get to go fishing.

Probably so, but time will tell. If it’s got a limit on it that gobbles I’ll be happy.

Have you stayed at the recently remodeled Hotel Redbay? Been open about a year'ish.

Good luck. I have 300 acres in Marion Co. I could always count on it producing 2 or 3 gobblers a season. I haven’t heard a bird down there in 3 years.

Seems to be that way in a lot of spots.

Oh, Avenged, while we do have our share of country pharmacists, we ran the truly bad seeds out about the same time we killed out all the turkeys, circa 1940's, eh?.

Has this website been updated within the last 2 years? Everything looks from 2016.

It’s pretty sad really. Bad thing is nobody seems to know what has happened to the turkey population.😢

1940's is when the civilized folk left the backwoods to the unwashed heathens, yes

Started in 2006 on my spots in TN and now if you see a turkey track it is something to talk about. It’s in a 4 county area in tn that border Alabama. No one knows what happened and it seems to have spread to parts of Alabama too. They will figure it out one day, but there may not be any birds by the time they do. It’s not a new problem.

We have to kill 3 or 4 turkeys every summer to keep them out of the garden.
