Please, somebody post something...anything...if you got out! I woke up about dawn and it seemed to be an awesome morning to hunt! Let us know how you did!

Me and my brother went this morning I had 2 does come in at 6:30 finally got a shot at 7:15 went right under the oldest does at 25 yards I watched them run off headed toward Justin about 15 minutes later I heard him let one fly, he missed at 30 yards same doe guess it was her lucky day we are going to slip out of work early today and see if we have better luck this afternoon. Gonna shot my bow again but I think it was just the first deer of the year jitters that got me........

im glad yall got to get out this morning. i may not get to hunt until next weekend.

There was a beautiful layer of cool fog and the occasional "drip ... drip" from the leaves.

Sunlight tried to break through but it was hazy and ghostly, a quite picturesque setting. Little was stirring. Canada geese honked as they flew overhead.

And as I sped to school to drop off the kids before the bell, I hoped anyone who got to hunt today enjoyed the woods as much as I liked the way our neighborhood looked and sounded when I got up.

Clem you are right this morning was nice I would have to change out Geese for Crows right at day break I will bet there were 500 in the creek just below us I have never seen that many at one time nor heard that much racket. The oaks we were in sounded like it was raining with all the acorns dropping. We may have missed the deer but we enjoyed the trip.

Well, I got up about 6:50 this morning, got a shower then stopped by Mcdonalds and got a chicken biscuit and then came to work. I actually woke up at 4 but just decided not to go hunting this morning.

I woke up at 7am this morning, after working till 11pm last night. Ate breakfast, throwed the frisbee to my Golden, "till I got tired". :rolleyes:

Then pulled the bow out and shot for about 30 minutes, visualizing the big one walking around my back yard in Gulfport city limits.....

Yes it was beautiful out this morning. it was a great day to be in the woods.. all I saw was a few squirrels and a bunch of freaking Mosquitos.....Thank God for Thermocell!!!

I was trying to decide where to setup as I drove to the hunting club. When I arrived at 5:30 the gate was locked. Not a problem I have a key,,,,,,,,, at home, on the table where I left it last night.

So I decided the best place to setup was the one closest to the gate. I was in the tree at 6:00, light enough to shoot about 6:30 and I sat there until 9:00 without seeing anything.

Going to hit it again this afternoon for a couple hours but it is going to be 85 degrees (next week is suppose to be cooler).

got 2 does and had em cleaned by 8:30.

Got in a loc-on this morning about 5:30. Every now and then I felt like I was sliding off the seat. I'd sit for a while then stand some, still feeling like I was sliding off the seat. Heard something behind me around 8:30, stood up, went to fold the seat up with my knee, then out of my seat comes a snakes head, then 6 more feet of chicken snake.
Dang near jumped out of the tree. He slid out, looked at me, went down to the platform around my feet the crawled about half way down the tree on the over to a smaller tree. Had to treminate him when I got down. Didn't need a scare like that again.

What a nice morning to be in the woods bout 7am seen a couple of young bucks move away from me into the fog.Then i ranged ever tree and stump in front of my stand im ready for the afternoon and a breeze hopefully.

I got up at 4 after 3 hours of sleep, went and picked my brother up and we were off for the woods. All I saw were squirrels, birds, and a snake. No deer.

Now that is why you wear a safety harness. That would have freaked me the ---- out!!

I would have jumped out.

I went to physical therapy this morning and now my shoulder is pretty sore.

Got up at 4am. Was walking to my stand by 4:45am. Dropped my friggin flashlight out of my pocket 50ft from my vehicle.

All i had was a small led head lamp and a 25 minute walk. Woods look totally different with foliage and little light. Finally got my GPS to get a signal and used that to find my stand.

Sat from 5:45am til 12:30pm and only saw squirrels.

I almost stayed all day. Plus the wind was variable and kept shifting.

Found my 80.00 flashlight on the way out near my car.

had this nanny slip in through the fog about 6:55
and laid the smack down on her at 20 yards, she ran about 40 yds and crashed. Her tits were still full of milk I hope her lil ones are big enough to make it on there own.

Sure was a pretty morning.....white oak acorns falling, mosquitos buzzing, and one spike that came in about thirty minutes after first light. Hope the cooler weather gets here by the weekend.
