Electronic locks - This can and does happen to all of them I believe. It is just a fact of life with the electronic locks on these things doesn't matter the brand.
I think the locksmith drills holes in the door and unlocks the safe which pretty much ruins it. I haven't found out yet myself. Let us know how this goes.
Locksmith told me it could be fixed. But like the OP it was gonna cost me a little over $400 bucks, and i didn't feel comfortable with a stranger opening my Safe........
