I have a cannon safe with an electronic keypad. The lock mechanism inside the door went out leaving me locked out of my safe. Anyone opened one without damaging items inside? Im not paying the locksmith $450 to open a cheap safe. Torches and dynamite are not options. Would rather not cut side open either .

This is precisely why I bought a safe with manual combo only. Wish I could help but I don't know. Call Cannon. Is it out of warranty?

You've eliminated all the fun options.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I'd make my displeasure known to, Cannon.

Cannons warranty is for parts not labor after first year. They cover it for life if u have fire, flood or break in but not their shotty parts. I have had multiple conversations with cannon. Theyve sent me two keypads and internal lock mechanisms. Been through all of their troubleshooting and its either open myself or locksmith. I told them i would use my $450 toward a good safe after i finished destroying their crappy one.

Mine did the same thing. I took a saws all and cut a hole at the top left corner moved a couple guns over and sawed down the door cutting the lugs into took about 15 min with a new blade. I couldn't believe how easy it cut. I'll never buy another one with electronic lock. Mine was a Cannon also

This. It’s frustrating, but not a tough procedure. Take the little face plate off, replace the 9V, and you’re back to good. You can look at a user’s manual which will tell you how to do it.

The lock is no longer functional. At all. Makes no beep or click. Dead. Not a battery or combo issue.
