Mine has the 331 under it and still pulls good and gets about 17 mpg every day driving. It runs like a scalded ape. You can’t mash the gas pedal hard on wet pavement without it spinning and it does it anywhere under 50 mph every time, so you have to baby it if the road is wet. Mine is 4 wd crew cab 2017

They run like rapes apes, throttle response is like a gas burner, I'm the furthest thing from a ford fan, radiators are expensive and have like a 6hrs book time if I remember right. Last year at the shop I put in several radiators for the engine not the intercooler on the early 6.7 trucks they all cracked right around the same spot on the tank by the upper hose radiator hose inlet

I bought one the year they came out. It was my last diesel. I couldn't keep it out of the shop. Problems with emission components.

I’m debating on keeping mine or not because I put a good many miles on it but if I do keep it I’ll jerk that emissions junk out so hopefully I won’t have that to worry about. I’m curious to hear other feedback

So far I'm not seeing much support for the Ford 250 6.7L engine. My limited understanding was that Ford remodeled this engine in 2017 addressing some of the problems from previous 4-5 years.
Wish it was hunting season.....year round

I've got a new one that I just purchased on January 6.
I love it.
Zero problems thus far and it has unbelievable torque and throttle response.
Mine is a 2017 Crew Cab 4WD.

6.7 is the best diesel Ford has made in 15 years. A 6.0 is a good one and stout studded and deleted. I wouldn't touch a 6.4. If I was gonna buy a new diesel it would be a ford.

I’m on my second 6.7. The Scorpion motor is the best ford diesel I’ve ever had. My ‘12 had 285k on it when I totaled it. My ‘16 has 131k on it.

My 2013 has been a good one so far. I have 165,000 on her and only thing I've had to replace is the radiator. As someone said they are junk and crack over time. I just replaced mine at a cost $1,255 out the door. Other than that I have just performed routine maintenance. This will probably be the last one diesel truck I buy for the simple fact I'm not paying 70K for a new one.

Let's just say I've had 15 of Fords with the 6.7 motor. I've had more but let's just say 15. Out of 15 I'd say 7-8 had a lot of problems. One to three had minor problems and the other 4-6 of them I never turned a wrench on.
I've got a couple 2017-2018 6.7's every one of them as been in the shop for something. One seems to be doing real good and has only been in for recalls, etc so I need to be clear about that truck.. But there is another one.... this beauty won't go out of re-gen mode and had already has injectors and a injector pump. It is a certified POS. I'd say it has had about $15k in repairs if it were not under warranty.
My advice would be this... if you can afford to drive one under warranty get it. But if you think you are going to drive it around out of warranty get a gas truck. Unless you are using it to work out of or tow all the time... there is no way you can otherwise justify the repair bills that are headed your way on a diesel motor.
Own a couple diesels and you'll fully understand what I am talking about.
Not so "cool" to have one after you empty your wallet a few times. I honestly don't know how anyone drive around in one out of warranty. A $6-7k repair bill is not out of the question. I've done that several times but we use them to make money so that is different. To get some groceries that's not feasible but I consider myself very good with money and like to keep it. Not give it away. Especially for repair bills I know are inevitable and avoidable.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
