A good Belgian waffle that is crisp on the outside. Lots of butter and good maple syrup.

Normally in this order
1. Buttermilk pancakes (thick, light, moist) with real butter and real maple syrup
2. GOOD French Toast
3. Waffles

But there is one dish that is the top spot of all three options:
Pan Perdue (creole French Toast) with homegrown real amber cane syrup from Oak Alley Plantation in Vecherie, LA. I've never had a better French Toast and syrup as this dish. Exquisite. I've had pancake perfection and waffle wonder before, but nothing compares.

Eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy. Then maybe one of those three. They're on down the list.

You can buy the pancake mix at CB, add your own pecans, it's a very close thing to the original.

Of the three it would be a waffle but my wife makes breakfast every other day and it consist of homemade biscuits (best on the planet), fried yard eggs, crisp bacon and either grits or gravy. We eat breakfast every other day because we are trying to lose weight.

Agree on banning soggy arse bread...but good french toast isn't soggy.
