Tuscaloosa was correct. Archibalds is sooooo good.

Some people want to visit all 50 states, I would like to eat in each of these places.

Best ribs anywhere in my opinion. They only cook their ribs 45 minutes. Gonna try that one day.

Rock's BBQ in Prattville is the best in the area imo, but I have never been to Jim's on 82. Gonna have to go down there soon

Y’all done made me want some bbq
Live in Tuscaloosa and bbq is not what it used to be but still good
I eat jims on the way or back to the beach its ok
Sams is ok as I hunt in fayette
L&m’s is ok but different as my brother lives in thomaston
Been spoled by old bbq in Tuscaloosa. Archibalds & Dreamland used to be a whole lot better they really held up to “ain’t nothing like them nowhere “

I live just down the road from there and have never really cared for it.
Folks must think it's good because they stay covered up but it just isn't high on my list.

I prefer Smok'n Hot on 202 if I'm out looking for BBQ

Smoking Hot is way better but just out of the way for us. I eat it for lunch sometimes.

White and vinegar are southern lol. White was created in Alabama of all places, vinegar created in the carolinas, and red is Kansas city style. Vinegar and white are better than red anyway. Red is to much like ketchup

A year or 2 ago, AL.com named Jim n Nick's the "Best BBQ in AL".......at that point they lost what little credibility they may have had.

Honestly... Pruitts in Rainbow City (Which is the "winner" for Etowah County) has some of the best ribs I have had in Alabama. Plus their other food is great too. It's hard to miss going to eat there.

Strike 1 if you're going to charge for drink refills from a fountain. Menu doesn't really impress. Pork belly lol. I may check it out my next trip up north. I shop in Geneva so I may try it. rofl

For a chopped pork plate with camp stew I will pick Hook's BBQ in Troy. I eat there about every time I go to Troy.
