I have entered every year, even before the point system started so whatever the formula is gets you to 65. I found a write up about it one point that I think says they cube the prior years to get your current years total.
Year 1: 1 Year 2: 1+1 Year 3: 8+1 Year 4: 27+1 Year 5: 64+1
The plus one is what you get for that years drawing. The cubed number is your carry forward for the years you did not get chosen.

Your correct but year 2 max is 2. So year 5 is 65 max.

This appears to be correct, but reassures me that I don’t understand the formula at all. Year 1: 1 Cube Year 2: 1+1 Cube Year 3: 8+1 x3 Year 4: 27+1 ? Year 5: 64+1 ?

Took me 12 years to get drawn the first time. I wasn't selected this year, so only 11 to go!

They are cubing the years, not the actual points Year 1: 1 Year 2: 1+1 (1x1x1=1) Year 3: 8+1 (2x2x2=8) Year 4: 27+1 (3x3x3=27) Year 5: 64+1 (4x4x4=64)

I got an email that I was not drawn. I hadn’t put in for awhile so guessing I just have one point now.

the problem with this, or any other function of the dept, is that the ALDCNR has lost any trust from the sportsmen of Alabama. Simply put, no one trusts them to be on the up and up. Period. Damn shame. And one is left to wonder why, with the "I'll kill one if I want to... I ain't signing nothin.... I'll hunt kill whatever I want..... I'll kill those damn dogs if...... A bag of rocks will....." mentality in our state. what in hell does yer post have to do with not trusting the dept and Chuck?
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Exactly like I said, like my comments, we as sportsman have made ourselves untrustworthy. Laws are made because....... Nevermind.
