Have tools will work for food. Looks great! Thanks y'all. Yep he didn't have to worry about food all week. We only ate out twice and that was for breakfast. I'll post some food up from this week over at the buffet.

Does that Dixie Salvage have fairly decent pricing? Cabin looks fantastic

That looks really good. Have you been keeping up with your hours and materials cost? I’d be interested to know how much you’ve got in it.

Does that Dixie Salvage have fairly decent pricing? Cabin looks fantastic Yes they do, but it hit or miss depending on what you want and what they've got. We try to go by there often because you might see something and want it and come back and it's gone, and you will never see it again. I think they buy truck loads and train cars full of building supplies from damaged trucks or trains that the insurance has already wrote off. Something like that, so you never know what's going to be there.

Great lookin cabin, Irish! Looking awesome, and a fantastic view. Thanks guys. We are working our asses of I assure you and have been for a couple of years now on the weekends. I seriously doubt we will ever try to build something like this ourselves again. There's a reason people pay other people to build houses. It's a lot of work and a lot of planning and a lot of spending money.

That looks really good. Have you been keeping up with your hours and materials cost? I’d be interested to know how much you’ve got in it. I really need to do that. Most of my money has been spent at either Lowes or Webb Building Supply in Centre, AL. My plan was to pull up my credit card records and tally it all up soon. As it stands right now I've only paid to contract labor something like: $1000 for foundation $3500 for framing $500 for plumbing $1000 for carpentry $1000 for misc. So that's $7000 in labor costs so far not including Mrs. Irish and myself.

He's really a good dude. Funny thing is: I'm 57 and he's 62. I like to consider myself fairly successful considering my lack of education and the fact that I'm a total doofus. But when he and I are together and working on something, I suddenly become the dumbass little brother all over again. But that's OK, maybe that's why I've always tried harder in my life to be successful so I could prove my Dad and my Brother wrong.

Like I said my brother quitting his job at this juncture and me being able to take a whole week off from my busy schedule (Very rare) was the shot in the arm Mrs. Irish and I needed to give this project the kick in the arse that it needed to push on to the end.

Nice. It looks like it's getting very close.
How far off were the phone compasses? Thanks. 10 to 20 degrees at least.

That’s awesome! Still looking great but I hate working with autocad. Prefer micro station or the old terramodel!

Got all the flooring, tile, tub, cabinets, countertops and sinks there. Most of it had minimal scratches or dings. Might have a board or two busted in each box from a fork lift. Hadn’t been in a while though.
