Got this one yesterday in TN. Last day of the season with 10 minutes of daylight to spare. 198 yard shot was the longest I've ever made by about 100 yards. Sure glad I worked on shooting long range a few weeks ago. It got me the best for me so far.

He is missing part of his lower jaw. At first, I thought he was running does all the time and tired because I had saw him a few times during the rut.

That's what I'm wondering.

Did you happen to weigh him? Just wondering if his injury was preventing him from eating. He sure looks thin in the trail cam pic. Congrats! CD.

I didnt weigh him, but his hindquarters were in real good shape just his shoulders looked small and atrophied. Most of his lower jaw was there just all of the skin was missing. My wife is a vet tech and I showed it to the vet and he said it looked like he was either clipped by a car, or caught it in a fence at a young age.

That's what happens, too often, when someone attempts a head shot.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.
