The only experience I have with a Tacoma was my sister in laws. I hated it. Small and cramped and sucked gas, especially considering it was 2wd and v6.
My company has about 30 of the eco boost f150s. They are the 4 door, 4x4 xlt models. Most of them are over 100k miles and they have had trouble with 1 that I know of. They are the most comfortable riding and best driving truck I’ve ever been in. They are getting about 19mpg and are plenty strong for a half ton truck.
Right now I have a dodge with a 5.9 Cummins, but if or when I buy another truck, it will be another f150.

The only thing better than a mini truck like a yota is a 1/2 ton full size. and the only thing better than that is a 3/4 ton diesel.
No comparison between the comfor between the two you mentioned. Go for the F-150. If you want the next step up in comfort and reliability, check out a Ram 1500. They had some transmission issues late 90's, but the 1500 series are dead solid now. I put 245,000 on a 2004 before I traded it. Had to change spark plugs once, but that was it from a mechanical standpoint.

I got a Ford f150 last year after being with Toyota for YEARS. The only reason I got the Ford is account I got a camper. And the 09 Tacoma would not tow it. Also there wasn't any tundras around when I was ready to get the big truck. The Ford is a 2012 , 3.5 EcoBoost supercrew. The thing has way more room in the back. I could actually lay down in the back seat with my knees bent and sleep very comfortable.

I don’t see the comparison of the two. A full size F150 or a mini truck. F150 any day and every day.

Tacoma is ok if you are traveling mostly alone. I have an '08 Tundra Crewmax with 200K miles and a '14 F150 Crewcab ecoboost with 50K miles. The Tundra still looks and runs like new. The F150 runs rough and the aluminum body is not holding up. Tailgate is flimsy. Ecoboost has not worked right from day one. Tundra wins hands down.

I literally just walked out to the driveway with a fridge magnet and stuck it on my 2013 FX4. It stuck to every quarter panel, door and tailgate. Only thing it wouldn't stick to is the hood (fiberglass) and grill surround (plastic).

That is strange. Cause I couldn't put a magnet anywhere on mine.
It made me mad. Some of my prints was 24x36 or even larger.
Not being able to pin it down with a magnet was irritating.

I'm not hatin on the Ford. Even with aluminum body, I would still take the Ford over a Toyota.
Just so it has a 5.0 or bigger engine.
