Contemplating buying a new to me truck, 2013ish model, before the end of the year and would Aldeer's input on these two models. Looking at a double cab, 4wd, 6 1/2' bed cause I need to haul stuff, and if I go with a Ford it will be a 5.0. Use will be a work truck, daily driver, with some off-road driving.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Hold on, the tiny engine ecoboost crowd will be along shortly.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

Longbed double cab Tacoma.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

I'd probably buy the F150.

Not comparable if talking 4 door F150......I went from 4 door Nissan Frontier to 4 door F150 and it’s no comparison- F150 all day. Amazing how much more cabin space and room, etc. For the amount of money folks pay for a Tacoma I’m not sure why you wouldn’t buy a full size truck especially if you have kids.

Yep. Other than a little extra room, the Yota is far better.

2013 FX4 crew cab with 5.0 here. 78k miles. Absolutely in love with it. The back seat area is just stupid big, especially if you fold the seats up to put "stuff".

I remember you doing a bunch of research before buying the Ford.

I don’t really consider the Tacoma a full size truck. I’d go with the F150.

The Tacoma is not comparable with an f150. The tundra is Toyota’s full size truck.

F150... I just traded my 2017 Tacoma and got an extended cab F150 that probably has as much or more cabin space than the crew cab Tacoma did

My last ford f150 have lasted 311,000 5.3 v8
And currently 186,000 eco boost.

0 problems with the eco boost at all, replaced transmission in the truck with the v8. I haul lots of stuff and the eco boost tows and pulls better hands down than the big v8 did
