I was watching a show last night or night before last…. that was talking about the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence. The biggest part of the show that I watched talked about how they designed “Watson” back around 2010 to compete on Jeopardy. They went into detail about how Watson was able to comprehend the original question by the terms that were used…..and then take those terms to search the entire internet for related topics…..at which point it categorized all the different data it gathered into related fields….. and then searched those fields for the most likely answer……at which point it honed that on down into a percentage based analysis of the data basically like a “phone a friend”…. just to be sure……. where it gave Watson a breakdown of the top 4 most likely answers in the form of A,B,C,D……where A was 94% sure of being right……B was 7%......C was 3% and so forth………. But that wasn’t the part that really blew my mind…….It was when they said that he computed all of that in something like 0.2 seconds that I began to think…….Yeah, y’all might want to shut this chit down now before robots really do takeover. It has actually progressed far past that now. The one that they showed that’s designed to “debate” is even scarier to me because it actually shows the ability to learn from each debate and improve itself. What happens when the computer thinks it knows better than me about what I want it to do??? Rut roh……...
Folks that know don't shoot old does........
