*All you new folks, this is the way it is on the forums, so pay attention.
This might help you get through the first day on the forum, after that youre on your own.

First off there are 2 things that you MUST have to be a Member of this site.
#1 is Thick Skin.. People here dont sugar coat anything, and WILL tell you what they think. If your easily offended this aint the place for you, Please exit now.
#2 is a TRUE love of the Outdoors. We aint talking about "Tree Huggin" Rock Worshiping Hippie types either.

*Before you roll up in here posting like a Tornado through a trailer park, take a little time to get a feel for the place.

*Remember, meanings expressed in the written phrase and spoken phrase are often completely different

*We arent here to justify your feelings and give you self worth

*You may think that because folks cant see you that they dont know who you are. Remember You are not anonymous on the internet! Think about what you post before you go bragging about shooting deer at night over corn from the highway.

If ya got thin skin and sensitivity youll find most post will probably be like wearing a thong in a blizzard, they aint gonna do nuthin but irritate yer ass.

We dont care about affiliations; we take in just about everybody, we even took in DarnYankee and BigJack. We dont care what you believe as long as you Love the Lord and Vote Republican.

*If you are going to be traveling around the state, post it up and meet up face to face with these folks. Youll be glad you did

*Before you post something, please make sure somebody aint beat you to it

Please check with Snopes before you post up about Bill Gates giving away money.

Learn how to use the controls. If you perform the dreaded triple post, delete two of em. Click on the Edit button and put a check mark in the delete box. You can also edit what you type the same way.

*We have a forum for just about everthing, find the one that applies and check it out.
The General Forum is where all the BS is slung. All them gear and stuff forums are good spots for that kinda talk.
If you are looking for land, then you might be best off in the land and lease forum.
If you are trying to sell something, put it in the classifieds.

*We realize that we got a couple of them folks from the DCNR.
Sometimes they make good decisions, sometimes they dont.
It aint perfect but at least it aint Massachusetts or some other god forsaken place.
That dont keep them free from open debate.
We respect the folks in the Green Uniform but that dont give em a free pass.
Some stuff might fly by the general public, but dont crap down our back and call it a mudslide.
Yall can take your lumps here and give em too but it aint a CAB meeting.

*The main reason we have a "season" is so we'll know when to quit and return to work, family and bills. Otherwise 365 day 2 deer a day, year 'round season would be terrible for the economy and good for divorce and bankruptcy lawyers.
The animals we hunt know when the season starts and the season is over. Its just like when the in-laws come to your house for a visit. You know when its safe to come out and when to go nocturnal.

Forget about hunting in Febuary!.. it aint gonna happen

We have ALL heard about "Big Cats", using Clorox on a stump, and the "Butler County Swamp Booger". if you start a post about them, be prepared.

The folks on here are some of the best people you will ever meet. they lend a hand when they can, or a knee when they can't. Take the opportunity to meet as many as you can.

We got folks from all walks of life here, if you have a question, just ask, someone probaly knows something about it. If you post and dont get an answer, well that probably means nobody has one. Deal with it.

if this all sounds like something you can live with, the only other thing we have to say is.....

Welcome to the ALdeer Family!!!

Being a new member my observation is that this a great resource for Alabama hunters. I am however dissapointed to learn that the sensitivity training is being discontinued.
