westflgator, last year we didn't see any sign of rut in Jan. But, I did see a buck chasing two does just north of DeFuniak Springs at about 4:00 a.m. on our way to "youth turkey hunt" in Geneva. That was the SECOND WEEK OF MARCH! This year we saw bucks running together until Mid-December. Since then, they've all been solo. I hope that means it's fixing to be on.
