Doekiller,
I am just seeing this. I am terribly sorry and will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. I remember back in December when your house burned. Your Dad was devastated, and his love for you and your family was made known in the biggest of ways. My mind races back to the recent Argentina dove hunt that you two enjoyed. Such GREAT memories! Judge was always a straight shooter and as previously stated, provided a lot of solid, sound information and advice. He will be greatly missed. If there's anything that I can do, please let me know. Lastly, I was looking at your Dad's signature line which so fittingly reads:
"Let us cross over the river and rest in the shade of the trees Stonewall Jackson Hug your loved ones often, Life is short even on its longest days. I don't see the glass as half full or half empty. I just finish it and order another."
RIP, Judge Sharpe.

One more post of your Dad's:
This year I am thankful. I am thankful for the love the Lord had for me and my family. I am thankful that we can come together and celebrate the birth of our Savior, without whom I would not be assured of the promise of tomorrow in the presence of my Lord. I am thankful for the love of my wife of 47 years (I married her as a young child), who has supported me through good times and bad, slickness and health , richer and poorer. I am thankful for my children, children in law, and especially my grandchildren. Each generation is getting better. I am thankful for the great friends we all have, who would grab a bucket to fight Hell Fire if I needed it. I am thankful for all the people who were in need, and allowed me to help them. I am thankful for the men and women who gave their all to protect me and my family and my friends and all those I don't know, without regard to race, religion, politics, gender or any other thing that can divide us. And to the ones who served and came home. I am thankful to live here, at this time,in this great country, on this wonderful earth circling around a bright warm life giving sun.
Oh hell, I sound like a preacher's kid saying grace at Sunday dinner, but through the turmoil and the confusion that has engulfed us these last few days, I have come to recognize again the hand of the great Architect of the universe. With His compass and square, His level and plumb bob He opens and closes the day, keeps the tides regular and sets us out to do His work. Merry Christmas brothers (and sisters)
I Love you all. Judge.

It would be my pleasure to pray for you and your family Doekiller. As others have said I really enjoyed your dad's posts. I know you are going to miss him (I lost my dad when I was 20).
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

I’m sure it’s tough for you and your family. I always enjoyed what he had to say around here, and I’m sure you heard the best from him.
