If you absolutely do not want to take a chance on being sea sick, go to your doctor and have him/her to prescribe you some scopolamine patches. Nothing else, including bonine and dramamine can come close to those magical patches.

Haven't been on that ship in particular, but have been on some of the others. Where are you going? My wife has been on that one and she loved it. If you plan on having 4-5 alcoholic drinks per day, you may as well just get the drink package. We’re going to Cozumel, Camen Islands, and Montigo bay. Still debating on wether or not to get the drink pass because I don’t know how many drinks I’ll order on the boat on days we are at port. I did here it’s nice to get the drink package just to sample high end liquor lol Going on one during the 4th I bought the drink pack cuz 5 and 6 dollar drinks add up 1st vacation alone with my wife since our honeymoon 11 years ago

The cocktails and margaritas start at like $10.

Just be aware of that.
Not a high class outfit and does not have a high class customer base.
It is cheap.
I wouldn't go on one if someone paid me to.

I wouldn't go on one if someone paid me to. Have you ever been on one? I’ve never been on a carnival cruise that I was disatisfied with. There were a lot of ghetto-types on mine. It didn't spoil the cruise. I would go back again. Good value for the money when you start adding up the rooms, travel cost, food and entertainment.

And probably won't go on one of those either. In my old age I am trying as hard as I can to get away from the great unwashed masses, and I certainly have no desire to get stuck on a boat with a bunch of them.

Dramamine Non-drowsy is the same thing as Bonine. Both contain 25mg of Meclizine HCl as the active ingredient.

I've never ben on a cruise and have never had the desire to get on a boat that I can't drive over to the bank (aka river bank) and get out. You'll never hear me refer to the bank as the 'shore' either.

For me its not so much curmudgeon as having no desire to be on the Walmart of cruises.
Carnival is like a giant floating Walmart.
And not the one in Vestavia Hills/Mountainbrook.
Think Ann Street Monkeytown Walmart.
Half Ghetto and most of the other half is like something out of the movie Deliverance. 😳

I have been paying my dues for a long time. When I go on vacation I want to be as far away from as many jackasses as possible.
