I got some at Academy. Magellan store brand. Nothin fancy but they feel good they are waterproof and regular price is $99. I got $10 off for Memorial Day military discount. I want some Chippewa but I’m not spending that much right now.
Don't blame me for your bad decision-

My daughter sent me this pic that someone posted on a snake some fellas killed up at Cartersville (of course everything on the net is true). If its legit - then wow! He would have never even had to bite me for to hurt myself. ![[Linked Image]](http://i63.tinypic.com/21414dx.jpg)

Yes that's a real snake but they're pushing it out right into the camera. It's called forced perspective. Same as long arming a bass or crouching down 6 feet behind a deer or hog to make it look like it's the size of a dang rhinoceros.

That thing is still a hammer of a rattler. I tried the boots out yesterday and they feel pretty good. I got a size up. They seemed to run small. The upper around my calf is a little big but I have skinny legs so other than that they were comfy

Yes the world record timber rattlesnake is 62 or 64.5 inches. I bet evetything this snake was atleast a few inches if not 6 inches longer than the record. I had no idea the record was only over 6ft. 5’ = 60” 6’ = 72” 7’ = 84” I’ve seen plenty in the 5’ and extra range. Even got pic proof and no dead phone and everything. As many as I’ve seen, I’ve never measured a 72”. And....... you likely didn’t see anywhere close to an 84” timber. I killed one a few years ago was 62" with his head cut off, would have been prolly 5' 6" (66") head and all. Longest me and several others ever saw. He was skinny as a black racer. BTW, we have plenty timber rattlers up here, some real grown uns. I've yet to hear of one or see one that was confirmed 6 foot. I killed that long one when we were cutting timber. The loggers were killing a monster every few days, they had them stirred up I guess . Good lawd there were some that would make a grown man have snake nightmares.

"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

Its funny how a lot of folks just refuse to believe anything. Me and 3 fellers was developing about 80 acres on rail road bed road in 2007. It was small timber surrounded by houses. Maybe 100 acres of woods that connected then our other 88 acres almost touching it that is now open and named Legendwood which runs of Capshaw rd in Madison. We been workin that 80 acres for a year. We done laid most utilites and cut all roads. We cleared about half of the lots. I was running a tri-axle up and down those dirt roads moving dirt to our stock pile in the back. About 10am im drivin back empty to the trackhoe. I grabbed another gear, looked up and saw something with its head down crosdin the road about 100ft in front of me. Maybe closer. I thought it was a huge german sheppard for a split second. It looked at me then looked back down and kept on trotting across and slipped into the woods. It was an anteater! It was huge. Long neck, long snout. Long tail. It was black with long hair. I told my co-workers. We all laughed. I worked there for another year almost daily and never saw it again.
We got to remembering there use to be a petting zoo at the old flea market on hwy 72. That property was real close to us. A man told me a rich guy lived across the road that had tigers and all kinds of animals years ago. Who knows where this thing came from but it was definitely an ant eater i saw. Seen many on tv! We said...that explains all the huge scat we were finding. We kept finding small trees with the lower limbs broken off hanging like something was trying to climb up them. It was weird.

I honestly don't doubt what someone might actually see, hell I wasn't there. An old couple I use to know told me they saw a dang kangaroo beside Hwy 20 near Freeport, Florida in the early 70's, I wasn't there so there must have been a kangaroo out there. There are two landowners near Ponce de Leon, Fl that have Bengal tigers, one has wolves also. Maybe they might get out.

I saw a water mocisan this evening crossin the road in the g ville dam parkin lot. He was about 2.6ft long. Kinda skinny for a mocasin. He was in a hurry too. He made it out alive.
We saw a 3.6ft rat snake. Someone had just ran him over and killed him. About 100yds from the mocasin. I wish it was the other way around.
